Don’t Open the Door

“Don’t Open the Door”

🔹In this game, Players are given information about what’s behind the door and must collectively agree on whether or not to open the door.

🔹Example:

    • Player A might learn that there is something sharp behind the door.
    • Player B might learn that there is something furry behind the door.
    • Place C might learn that there is something heavy behind the door.
    • They might come to the conclusion that there is a Tiger behind the door and choose to not open it. If they guessed correctly, they each get a point.

🔹The Judge gives each player their own unique information about what’s behind the door, players may not share this information until the game starts.

🔹Here’s the twist: After everyone has their information, players close their eyes and the Judge will tap one player on the shoulder to signal to them that they have turned evil. One tap means open the door, two taps means don’t open the door. One the Judge has finished, everyone may then open their eyes.

🔹While the rest of the players are working together to figure out whether to open the door, the evil player tries to steer the conversation towards what the Judge’s instructions were.

    • One tap = open the door.
    • Two taps = don’t open the door.

🔹If the evil player succeeds, the Judge and the evil player each get a point, otherwise all the other players get a point.
